Melanin Made™ is one week old! We’re so grateful for the amount of love and support we received this past week.

As our brand continues to evolve, we wanted to find an immediate way to financially support the Black-owned brands and businesses in our directory…enter: Melanin Made Gifts.

Melanin Made Gifts (in beta), an extension of Melanin Made™, provides a direct platform to purchase items or a gift card to purchase any item featured on the Melanin Made Gifts site. For our first collaboration, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve partnered with AxV Beauty to provide an exclusive selection of their products on our site.

AxV Beauty was created to highlight Black beauty at all stages of the skincare journey. AxV Beauty founders Asata and Vic are committed to changing the narrative around perfect skin and encourage a desire for healthy skin that embraces pores, texture, and the occasional blemish.

I love that Asata and Vic started AxV Beauty to aid their own skincare journeys. The daily use of face masks and harsh cosmetic chemicals to treat “maskne” left their skin feeling irritated, dull, and dry so they created a natural remedy to calm their skin, restore hydration, and even their skin tones.

Beyond skincare, they also have an incredible line of candles (my personal favorite is Sunday Brunch which literally smells like summer), mugs and masks.
